Job description

Our Head of Construction person will join a growing number of leaders in our unique company. We are driven by construction, but also closely tied to innovations driven by Maple Industries. We are seeking someone with experience in construction (particularly commercial interiors) to lead the development of the entire construction process, team and delivery. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to excel in their field and become the leader they have always sought to be!

The individual must be able to demonstrate that they have a passion and commitment to making our industry better. These characteristics will be thoroughly tested throughout a number of application stages, so patience and commitment are key. 

Our developmental roadmap clearly defines our path to becoming a unique and market-leading construction company. The successful person will be expected to follow this roadmap, while adding their own creative recommendations into the mix.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record, creativity and leadership skills. The nature of this role demands that you can demonstrate your personal drive and commitment; this is more than just a job.

 

Requirements

Personal attributes: Career driven, strong leadership skills, assertive, passionate about making a difference, hyper organised, a people’s person and great work ethic.

Essential requirements

  • Five years’ minimum experience in construction: commercial interiors
  • Five years’ minimum experience in leadership and management 
  • Evidence of successful initiatives implemented in construction
  • Knowledge of and passion interest in sustainable construction practices
  • A passion for construction and understanding of its impact on people and the planet
  • A creative, ‘how can we do this better?’ approach
  • The drive to live and breathe this role as a career or vocation, not just a job
  • A strong, relationship-building personality with the ability to understand others and get them ‘on board’
